The original Canadian 1996 Two-Dollar coin was designed by Campbellford, Ontario local Brent Townsend and the town placed Two-Dollar coin monument to honor his creativity.
Campbellford is a small town of about 3,800 people.
This coin monument in Old Mill Park, along the Trent Severn Waterway was built in 2001 is a 27 feet high and 18 Feet wide and is a replacement of the original coin that was placed in 1996 which was 20 Feet high and had over 700 white and yellow lights
